Service Description

All drawing begins with a line. In this course, you will: -experiment with what you can do with a line - draw what you see, not what you know - think in shapes -loosen up -AND MORE Suggested materials: -drawing pad - 9x 12 or larger -pencil/s - 2H, HB, 2B -eraser/s - kneaded eraser, white eraser STAEDTLER, Mars plastic eraser -tiny pencil sharpener Artist Sharon Rouse started her career as a volunteer parent at Homestead Elementary School, then taught art at Graland Country Day School for 17 years. Sharon retired 19 years ago to supervise art student teachers for 5 and a half years. She taught watercolor classes for several years at The Academy, a non-profit life-long learning organization similar to RECCS U. Her work has been accepted into various shows and displayed in private collections. In addition to both teaching and creating art, she continues as a 43-year docent at the Denver Art Museum. Former Denver Mayor Michael Hancock recently proclaimed "Sharon Rouse Day" in honor of Sharon's amazing contributions when she received the Minoru Yasui Volunteer Award.
